Solar/Inverter Duty Transformer
Inverter-duty transformer is a specialized type of power transformer designed to transfer electrical energy without altering its frequency. The name “inverter transformer” comes from its primary use in inverter systems. Inverters convert direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) at a lower voltage, and the inverter-duty transformer is then used to step up this voltage to the higher levels required by most electrical equipment and appliances.
We specifically design inverter-duty transformers for applications in wind and solar energy systems. These transformers are equipped with multiple windings on the primary side, which improves their performance by enabling the connection of multiple inverters to the power grid. Additionally, our transformers feature an Earth Shield between the high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) windings, which reduces harmonic distortions and provides a safe path to ground for residual resonance. This enhances both the reliability and efficiency of the transformer in renewable energy applications.
